After resting a day and waiting out a classic Chesapeake Bay storm, the R/V MooMoo then made her second voyage on Sunday, April 27, starting from the wharf at the Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge on Eastern Neck Island, Maryland, the MooMoo ventured down the Chester River hugging the coastline of the island. She then ventured up Shipyard Creek where some "mud sampling" was conducted. Following this, the MooMoo then ventured further along the coast passing the mouth of Hale Creek and taking a brief lay-over at a small beach at Hale Point. She then continued on to a beach just past Narrows Point before returning to the wharf, where the crew observed a red-neck mud-bogging with a 4X4 in the parking lot.
The crew of the R/V MooMoo exclaimed excitement at the journey and vowed to return to circumnavigate Eastern Neck Island, this time with life jackets and other proper safety gear.
